Those screenshots were obviously taken from the judges' computers.

The judges very obviously wanted to give you a common setting such that you were not judgeing something like the kia skin, but the actual theme. I don't think the screenshots best show off the themes, but IBM representatives are not miracle workers.

I do hope those themes are added to the kde themes collection

I also hope that everyone here who screamed bloody murder about the themes actual tries them... but only because I hate you.
