Sorry, I was really drunk when I posted this comment.

In reality, KDE rocks! I've been in love with it since version 2.0. No wonder that KDE won. I personally know a lot of people who have switched from GNOME to KDE in the last year. Perhaps, a year and a half ago, these stats would have been reveresed. But since then, GNOME has been publishing press releases while KDE has produced a high quality desktop environment. Good work KDE developers!

I'm a gnome convert. After KDE 2.0 came out gnome is just to archaic to really use.
