Do you want a solution? Here it is:

As far as I know there is no IE for Linux, so your question is rather theoretically, but you can do this and it should work.

1.Install and configure "wine".
2.make a script which launches iexplorer through wine (and passes the parameters to it).
3a. create an action in quanta which launches this action and passes the file name to it or
3b. name the above script to netscape and translate the netscape style arguments to ie style ones
4. Put this action on a toolbar and save the toolbar
5. You should see the current file in IE (if wine does not crash)

If you own Solaris, it's even easier, as there is a IE for Solaris. Don't know about other
unixes.

So there are possibilities, you just need to find them and use them.
