Yeah, I remeber when I used redhat... KDE packaes where buggy as hell.
Mandrake even have a policy to update their packages iwth bug fixes if any, even that some time have passed sinse release.

Maybe a rc_rc_kde-3.1 could be made just to test packaging, and then (one week later) when the bugs where fixed, release final? It would be really good, at least for distros that do care about kde.
