Perhaps cooker will get binaries, we got some for RC1.
I think that only having sources doesn't help to have a lot of beta testers.
On the other side, people who get and compile sources will probably send better bug reports.

Yeah, or they'll send invalid ones due to their inability to compile things properly, or simply having a shafted environment. :)
