What I like about KDE...

... is how easy it is to connect to various parts. Start Juk, open your favorite terminal, and type:

"dcop juk Player"
You get a nice list of available controls.

"dcop juk Player play" starts playback, and so on... It makes scripting a breeze. DCOP rules ! :)

    One word: AppleScript. It doesn't have to be open-source to provide a clean, scriptable interface, and AppleEvents (the interface) has been around since Mac OS 7.0 came out in the early 90s.
