FLAC support?
by Jim Dabell on Friday 13/Jun/2003, @05:33
I haven't noticed it in any of the feature lists, but a requirement for any media player for me is the ability to play FLAC files. I'm sure other people have other formats they want to play - does juk have input plugins?

I do not think that the Arts backend supports it, but GStreamer should.

KDE's lack of FLAC support is the only thing keeping me using XMMS. This is something that needs to happen at the aRts level. If that happen, any media player in KDE should "just work."
