At last ! I'm very very happy to this moronic niggle in the API finally
go away. I'm also pleased to hear that the library is being split up.

I hope the thread support is faster. Our app spends a significant amount
of time locking and unlocking, but it's not even threaded (qt-mt is often
the only installed version ...)
