How do you know the developer used gdb for debugging and edited with emacs? I think Kdevelop has become a major developer tool maybe we should change the name of Linux to kdevelop/KDE So what even if they did GNU has contributed some essential programs i'm not saying anything different. KDE is equally essential and no not all programs are gpl take Xfree86 an essential part of my desktop. Pointing out that GNU has contributrd some good programs and code does not elivate it to the point that it justifys a name change for Linux.
