It might sound stupid, but I've never really understood the idea of having gears as the KDE Icon! I'm guessing it means that everything works together.
Just a side thought......ever wondered how a stuffed toy that looks like a cog would sell as a KDE mascot? Long Live Konqui :)

Ich like the dragon. I would like to see more Konqui promotion, not less. It is a wonderful representative of KDE. Let's use him quite more often.

    I can see it now.

    I'm running KDE 4.0 for the first time. I click on the Konqueror icon. Suddenly, a dancing Konqi appears and says, "It looks like you're trying to access the Internet! Would you like help with your Web Browser settings?"

    ....AAAAAIIIEEE!!!!!
