VNC/ Sesions/ Remote Participant/ Browsers
by Windu Bumi on Monday 22/May/2006, @08:03
Good article!

Can VNC help, using the ASB CCD magnifier, to test paper prototypes with remote participants?

Also, how is it possible to manage multiple VNC sessions in differen labs (3?)with only one conference room viewer? i.e. switching, etc.

And yes, would it be possible to load multiple browsers, too!

Many thanks!

Windu

Interesting. Not certain what ASB CCD magnifier is?

Looks like someone else addressed the multiple VNC sessions and browsers to your post on the ultravnc forum...

I've had some conversations and thoughts about multiple screens being captured at the same time, in a training room, or what not. It's interesting, and would be cool to do, but technically it is really performance intensive. I think Apple Remote Desktop does some multiple viewer stuff, it is based on VNC.

I like this VGA2USB device for screen capture , but I don't have it integrated into my product as of yet. Would take the network requirement out of the picture, and make it even better for ethnography and field research with screen capture (a kiosk, Point-Of-Sale, Users Home PC, whatever).
