At the moment I'm incredibly busy with work. When I get a chance to breath I will be working on the new web site with our site team. I also have registered a domain for consulting on Quanta and will be registering a company and setting up and account. This will enable professional developers and corporate entities to access true consulting arrangements. Our mailing lists and email support will continue as it is, but the idea is two fold.
1) Provide a higher level of structured information on a subscription basis - this will enable advanced users to team up to "contribute" their services as well as some other interesting ideas like offer professional level content - this would be an inexpensive subscription that would go to supporting development and also content for the service.
2) Provide real consulting - This would enable companies to purchase contractural support agreements which would range from X amount of time, other arrangements all the way to flying out developers to set up and install custom packages on a networked system and train users.
I don't expect the more advanced consulting to do much for a while but I would like to offer it. When we are farther along with Team Projects, VPL, XSLT/VPL and some other enhancements I think we will start to see returns on this.
