just to repeat Scott here: Beagle and this project really aren't the same sort of thing. you can do similar things with both concepts, but the approach taken is vastly different and there is a host of possibilities that just aren't possible with Beagle/Spotlight/Google Desktop Search type systems that are with where we're going with this. this isn't to say Beagle et al are uninteresting or poorly done, they are just a different type of technology with a slightly different set of goals.
