Syncronisation with PDAs and Cell Phones
by Matthias on Thursday 19/May/2005, @22:11
IMHO their is a growing need to ensure syncronisation with PDAs and Cell Phones and I do not see there real advances. Sync with Palms is working but the main PDA platform today is WindowsCE based PocketPC and IMHO we have to accept that no Open Platform will replace it at least not in the foreseeable future. I tried to get some information about the current status of kitchensync but it is at least my impression that this project is more or less on hold. So I would appreciate very much if the efforts in this area could be strengthened - although I have to admit that it is a tough work having the number of different devices in mind.

Best wishes
Matthias

The best way to ensure that, is usually to get involved yourself. This is Free Software, after all. :)
