Did you know that building KDE programs from the repository in KDE3 required Perl and M4 ? Did you know that unsermake was (and still is) required to build KDE4, and that it was Python-based too ?

I don't build KDE from repository, but from the standard packages, like most people who build KDE do. Since I've never had to use 'unsermake', I didn't even notice it so I don't feel concerned really.

Did you check out Haiku's build system?
