Screen magnifier
by Brandybuck on Friday 23/Sep/2005, @09:39
"Development of a new X.Org based screen magnifier"

There will still be an vanilla-X11-based screen magnifier available as well, right? Or at least have this magnifier support vanilla-X11 but with reduced eyecandy? Not every KDE platform has X.org by default, and not every user has the authorization to change it. It seems to me more productive to keep the old magnifier than to lock people out from this functionality.

Yes, of course.

This is not about eyecandy. The X.Org Composite extention is needed to implement some important features for partially sighted people which are simply impossible using vanilla-X11.

"partially sighted"? This is not a corporate website. Let's call things what they are. "partially sighted" sounds as if you have trouble taking aim at them.

What exactly is the term you'd like to use?

As it is, your message seems very offensive to me, but I might be just misunderstanding you.
