indeed. we do have now two applications which look the same and (try to) do the same. this might not be the best situation, but only time can tell which one is/will be the best. after all, this is how free software works.

oKular may have a great name, but name alone doesn't determine which application (oKular vs KViewShell) is the better universal viewer.

Just for the record, the optimizations they added to kviewshell are in okular code for a year or more already.
