And in unrelated note; can you explain to me why kiker is actively developed in trunk, I thought it is supposed to be merged with kdesktop to form the sexy plasma.

we need to extract the source which will be reused from kicker before we can kill it and make a plasmoid from it. just like we did with kdesktop -> krunner ;) i'm sure kicker will go soon.

kicker isn't actively developed in trunk. we keep it building and it essentially runs, but that's done basically just so that we have a panel in the meantime. =) there's not much effort (near zero, actually) being put into kicker in trunk.
