Re: Scripting
by Morty on Tuesday 03/Jul/2007, @03:06
Since the functionality of applications vary, what they need from the scripting interface will also vary. Thus the KDE vision for scripting interface is flexible.

The lanuguage-agnostc interface are prefered to be used where heavy use of scripting are expected, giving users the ability to use their preffered scripting language. And among several languages, Kross already support KJSEmbed.

If the application has simpler needs regarding scripting, it should use QtScript/KJSEmbed. But the decission of wich(or both) solutions to use in KDE 4.0 are not made yet, according to Richard Moore's talk. http://akademy.kde.org/conference/talks/36.php
