I'm 29, from Sweden, and I had to learn DOS WordPerfect keyboard shortcuts in school when I was 16. We even had keyboards with F7 (Cancel) marked in red.

What I _didn't_ have to learn was general concepts about files, folders, operating systems etc; I only had to learn program-specific crap for software that's not even around anymore. Total insanity.

It got better in the Gymnasieskola (17-19 years old), though.
