I think he simply means that the major work in rewriting KWord for Version 2.0 broke a lot of things, including saving in the default file format, ODF. They have now fixed it so that when 2.0 is released, it will work correctly.


At least I hope that is what he means... ODF definitely should be a standard across office suites, especially FLOSS ones.
