If tuxmath is good, whats the point in porting it? Just run tuxmath. :)
A decent Maxima KDE frontend would be nice, since Maxima is a good alternative to Mathematica but its GUI isn't all that great. Or some sort of computer algebra system anyways.

Well... you are describing TuxTyping, isn't? The website is a bit confuse and unmantained, bu the program is generaly good, at least for english.

That is the best free typing program that I ever seen. One of the reasons that I instaled linux again. Part of KDE-EDU.

My wife used Ktouch for typing training when she had a typing test for a public job. Ktouck is great.

The best free typing program that I ever saw is called hypertype (www.hypertype.org)
It needs some more developers, so HELP MAKE IT POPULAR.

Both tuxmath and tuxtype use SDL, so they are independent of the KDE version.
Glad to hear you like tuxmath. You should also know that most distros seem to include pretty old versions of the program, and there have been a whole host of improvements over the last year. The most current versions of both tuxmath and tuxtype are at http://alioth.debian.org/projects/tux4kids/.
