Will it be possible to include a KSpread-shape anywhere in a document? Doesn't this make the traditional "Table"-feature (like in MS Word) obsolete?

Yes, it will be possible to include a kspread shape and no, it doesn't make the standard text shape obsolete. The reason for that is that a spreadsheet is very oriented towards calculation and a text processor table is oriented towards organizing text. Right now, we don't have advanced handling of text properties in the spreadsheet cells, although this will possibly change later. Spreadsheets also don't have things like reoccuring header cells on several pages, which are important in text tables.

Microsoft would disagree with you here: they saw a huge adoption of Excel when they focused on table as a way of organising text..
