You could always try to play around with some of the services. If you use the filter a lot in Jamendo or Magnatune I am sure we can find a crash for you! :-)

I am using 1.4 since it's released and I mean intensively and haven't had a crash upto now.
It is presently the best out there for sure. I can only hope that Amarok 2.0 will be better.
