Are you trying to tell me I'm the only person on this blue/green planet that wants more desktop effects?

I always thought it's: "demand it - and they will build it?" No? =)

    I know that this was a tongue-in-cheek comment, but the answer is "no" - with volunteer-driven software, if no one steps up to do a task, then the task doesn't get done. Full stop.

    I guess the main news is optimization :). It's SLOW on my system (and Compiz is fast). Also, first-things-first: Plasma, KDEPIM, etc needs work.
