I am also using the latest openSuse updates. Suse is really doing a great job in providing it's users with such excellent service.
The packages are quite stable but there are still a few glitches that I will report on Bugzilla later.

The applet handlers on the icons can be very useful, you can resize individual icons to specific sizes or even turn them upside down. Try it, it's far more useful than it appears at first and you don't see it when you lock the widgets. I agree that the icons background doesn't look nice at all.

Well the panel is improving quite fast but it still has a long way to go before it can match the good old Kicker :)
It's a nice feeling though to watch KDE 4 as it evolves.

Have you noticed that Kolor Lines (my wife's favorite game) now has more than one themes? A few gimmicks but nonetheless cool.
The games are looking good, oxygen and plasma are also shaping up well. I just can't wait to see 4.1.
