Korea was getting broadband about the same time the US was I think.

    Probably, but sourkorea began with building their structures only 10-20 years ago. So they had'nt problems with existing structures. Also, soutkorea is mainly small, unlike the wide ranges in the usa, which minimize the cost drastic.

    It's a situation found in many countrays who are late adopters. They can start off with the better solutions and must'nt wait for the establishing of a leading technology.
