The makefiles that I have contain -fno-exceptions.
Who compiled your packages?

Me ;-)

Hmmm ... Maybe that's only problem on my side.
Earlier -fno-exceptions flag was used by default.
But after cvsuping KDE2 a couple of weeks ago I found that it's not the case anymore, and had to modify CXXFLAGS :-/
