Strong KDE Presence at LinuxWorld NYC

The preparations for the KDE presence at the upcoming LinuxWorld NYC are now complete. It should be a blast! We have ten KDE volunteers staffing the booth, some great demo hardware (generously provided by SUSE), a seven-foot banner, Kolab Server/KDE Groupware demos on a 21" LCD (provided by Ian Reinhart Geiser), and a laptop we will give away to one lucky booth visitor.

Free LindowsOS Download for KDE Developers

As mentioned on KDE development mailing lists, Lindows.com is offering all their major versions of LindowsOS for free download to all KDE developers. KDE-NL at Linux-Bijeenkomst 2003

KDE-NL was present at "Linux-Bijeenkomst 2003" at Tiel, Netherlands. We have published a small bilingual impression of that day and, included as a bonus, is a small IRC snippet where we discuss some usability issues with Aaron Seigo, chief commander of the KDE Usability Project.

Last week I represented our illustrious desktop environment project at
the big Linux Bangalore
conference in, well, Bangalore. This pleasant city is located in India's
southern state of Karnataka and hosts -- perhaps as a side-effect of it
being the computing capital of the nation -- the largest and most active
free software community in the country.

KDE Wins Spot @Comdex Open Source Pavillion
