I have started doing a weekly review of the kde-cvs updates. Check out the latest issue and please comment. Any ideas that would make the information more useful is welcome. My purpose is to give links into the code, and some pertinent discussion. This hopefully will add to the body of discussion and information available to users and developers of kde.
After several weeks of technical problems,

is on-line again with a completely renewed and enhanced version of the web site. You can now find a new section with
Accessibility Reports,
and detailed information on the KDE Accessibility Project's
first IRC meeting.
From the 24th to 28th of August 2002, members of KDE e.V. were invited to meet at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg, Germany, to discuss various matters relating to KDE e.V. and KDE in general.
After a rather long break Kernel Cousin KDE is back, and KC KDE #46 is out.
The KDevelop team would like to announce the availability of KDevelop 3.0 Alpha 2, codenamed Gideon (screenshot). This release fixes many bugs since Alpha 1 was released over a month ago and adds a few minor features to the mix. Users of KDevelop 2.x will notice substantial improvements and are encouraged to begin upgrading so that new bugs can be identified and squashed.
Boson, the real-time 3D strategy game for KDE has been freshly ported to OpenGL in its 0.7 incarnation (screenshots). There is no AI yet, so a minimum of 2 players is required.
Craig Drummond has released a new theme and "engine" for GTK programs that provides something many people have been looking for: a common look and feel for KDE and GNOME applications. While Red Hat's Blue Curve attempts to do something similar, Mr. Drummond's Geramik is the first theme implementation to provide smooth integration between environments.

versions 2.1 through KDE 3.0.4 (and also through KDE 3.1 RC3). The

The KDE Project today released KDE 3.1 RC3 with fixes for several severe bugs in RC2. This RC is likely the last before 3.1 although there remain a few items on the TODO list for KDE 3.1. If you find a showstopper problem in this release candidate not yet listed on bugs.kde.org, please file a report as soon as possible.
Corey Taylor has written an article for OSNews.com called "KDE 3.1 RC2: I'm Hammering". He has some font and icon issues with Red Hat 8.0, but overall seems happy. It's good to see people actually appreciating the new eyecandy and all the hard work by the artist team and developers.
