KDE 2.1 Beta1 Released

The KDE Team today announced the release of KDE 2.1-beta1. KDE 2.1 constitutes the second major
release of the KDE 2 series.

KDE 2.1-beta1 offers a number of additions, enhancements and fixes over
KDE 2.0.1, the last stable KDE release which shipped on December 5, 2000.

KDE Gets Digital Camera Support

theKompany.com has just released a patch to the well known digital camera application gPhoto2, which allows it to integrate seemlessly with KDE 2. This means you can now access the wide range of supported cameras (over 100 models) from any KDE 2 application. Now I may finally be ready to buy a digital camera! Update: 12/14 10:46 AM.
