Camp KDE 2011 Call for Locations Posted
Important Change to KDE's Security Policy
KDE's Security Policy has had a small update. The change is as follows:
- Information about security vulnerabilities will no longer be published via the Dot at http://dot.kde.org.
This change was made to reflect actual practices. Although the security policy has stated that security information would be published via the Dot, a review has shown that this has rarely occurred due to confusion as to whether the Dot is the appropriate venue for this information. This can mislead users into believing that following the Dot provides them with pertinent security information.

The deadline for requesting to give a presentation/talk at Camp KDE 2010 has been set for 0:00 on December 5th.
As indicated in the open registration announcement, if you wish to give a presentation, please indicate this preference when registering for the event. The organizers will look at the topics and handle any duplicates, and then ask for more detailed abstracts.

Camp KDE 2010 will take place at the University of California San Diego (UCSD) in La Jolla, California, USA from January 15th until January 22nd, 2010. The event is free to all participants.

Student Application Period for GSoC 2009 is Now Open!
The student application period for Google Summer of Code begins at 19:00 UTC today, and closes at 19:00 UTC on April 3rd. Students should be sure to seek feedback from their mentors as early as possible, to ensure that their application is in top shape for the grading period.
