The Crystal icon set for OOo is not yet complete have a look at the status page if you are interested in helping. OpenOffice.org 1.1.3 with KDE integration is now available for download. KDE.OpenOffice.org: Native Widget Framework Available

Thursday, 8 January 2004
A development version of the OOo KDE Native Widget Framework is now available for download. So far, it can draw KDE-styled push buttons, radio buttons, check boxes and list boxes (screenshot1, screenshot2, Plastik). The OOo Native Widget Framework is a way to get the look of the host platform in OpenOffice.org. It is currently developed for OOo 1.1, but it will be used in 2.0 as well. Read More

OpenOffice.org: KDE Integration project launched today

Friday, 12 December 2003
The OpenOffice.org KDE Integration project has been launched today. Maybe you remember Cuckooo, a KPart allowing OOo to be embedded in the Konqueror window (as a viewer). In the meantime this has evolved into an OpenOffice.org Qt port and the development does not stop there. KDE Integration is now an official "Incubator" project at OpenOffice.org, which means that it has been accepted by the OpenOffice.org community and if it continues well, it will become an official "accepted" project. cuckooo: OpenOffice.org nested in KDE

Wednesday, 20 August 2003
Have you ever dreamt of OpenOffice.org integration in KDE? Perhaps you should try cuckooo, a KDE Part which allows OpenOffice.org to be run in a Konqueror window. It is currently limited to just viewer capabilities, but as you can see from the screenshots, the technology is promising. You can of course download and try it, but please be patient with it. Cuckooo is at a very early stage of development, so you might encounter debug info on the standard error output, misbehavior or even crashes. But if you are willing to test it, I am looking forward to feedback! Read More
