Tuukka Turunen - Digia Director of R&D

Like many people in the KDE Community, I had some questions about Digia, their plans for Qt and their views of KDE. The interview with Tuukka Turunen follows. Tomaz: When Digia acquired the Qt commercial licensing and services business from Nokia, many people wanted to know more. Please tell us about Digia and how you came to be a Qt guardian.

Dr. Mathias Klang is a researcher and senior lecturer at the University of Göteborg in Sweden. His research revolves within the field of legal informatics with particular interest in copyright, democracy, human rights, free expression, censorship, open access and ethics. He holds Master of Laws and Ph.D. degrees.

Dr. Klang will deliver one of the keynote talks at Akademy 2012 in Tallinn, Estonia. My interview with another keynoter, Dr. Will Schroeder, was published recently on the Dot.

Will Schroeder

Dr. Will Schroeder is one of the keynote speakers for Akademy 2012 in Tallinn, Estonia. Will is the CEO of Kitware Inc., a proven leader in the creation and support of open-source software.

I asked him to share his background and insights from his experiences with Free and Open Source Software. People attending Akademy 2012 are fortunate to have Will Schroeder helping to expand horizons.
