Nokia Releases KHTML Based Code to S60 Browser

Nokia has announced the release of the code to the web browser for their S60 phones. The browser is based on WebKit and KHTML. At Akademy last year the developers told us how they plan to be active Open Source contributors. It will be used on ESeries, NSeries devices and 3250 phones soon.

KDE to be Present at Wikimania 2005

Wikimania 2005, the first international Wikimedia conference, will be held in
Frankfurt am Main, Germany, starting next Thursday and finishing on Monday.
Following the announcement of the
Wikipedia-KDE Cooperation the KDE Project has been invited by Wikipedia to join Wikimania 2005.

Preview on kNX Client and FreeNX Server for LinuxTag Visitors

A Task Force Team of KDE and Knoppix hackers and enthusiasts created "just
in time" for LinuxTag 2004 two
programs which harvested an overwhelming response from visitors: FreeNX
Server and kNX Client. Although not yet officially released, several
presentations showed a well working preview of the KDE version for the speed
boosting NX Terminal Server technology.

Large KDE Presence at LinuxTag 2004

LinuxTag 2004 is the largest Linux and Open Source exhibition in Europe. Last year over 19,500 visitors and 159 exhibitors attended the event. This year's event will be hosted in Karlsruhe, Germany from June 23 through June 26. The KDE Team will have a large presence there, including several presentations and workshops, a large number of KDE developers, and of course the KDE mascot Konqi.
