The Randa Meetings 2015 came to a successful end a while ago, so it is time to look back, see what we achieved and give you a little summary of the events that took place in the Swiss Alps this year. As usual we had quite a collection of meetings in one big house, which is why the event is called Randa Meetings, in plural. We might have already explained that last year, but it seems to be something that doesn't stick yet!

Today, the KDE Community is happy to announce the release of KDE Applications 15.04.2.
More than 30 recorded bugfixes include improvements to Gwenview, Kate, Kdenlive, the Kontact Suite, Konsole, Marble, KGpg, Kig, the KDE Telepathy call UI and Umbrello. In addition to software bugs, issues with translations have also been addressed in this release.

Today, the KDE Community is happy to announce the release of KDE Applications 15.04.1.
This minor update includes a number of bugfixes, focusing especially on Kdenlive, Okular, Umbrello, and Marble. In addition to software bugs, issues with translations have also been addressed in this release.

Today KDE released KDE Applications 14.12, delivering new features and bug fixes to more than a hundred applications. Most of these applications are based on KDE Development Platform 4 but the first applications have been ported to KDE Frameworks 5. Frameworks is a set of modularized libraries providing additional functionality for Qt5, the latest version of the popular Qt cross-platform application framework.

After a break last year, the 5th edition of the Randa Meetings will happen in the middle of the Swiss Alps in August 2014. The KDE Community is proud to announce the latest major updates to KDE Applications delivering new features and fixes. With Plasma Workspaces and the KDE Platform frozen and receiving only long term support, those teams are focusing on the technical transition to Frameworks 5. The upgrade in the version number for the Platform is only for packaging convenience. All bug fixes and minor features developed since the release of Platform 4.11 have been included. This release is translated into 52 languages; more languages are expected to be added in subsequent monthly minor bugfix releases. The Documentation Team updated several application handbooks for this release.
