The latest addition to the KDE web family is already a few days
old and in search of enthusiastic women coders, writers and designers.
The new KDE-Women website has set
out to do this and much more. The stated goal of the website:
"We want to build an international KDE forum for women by providing a
place where women can present what they already contribute to KDE and

KDE at CeBIT 2001

Many KDE Developers will converge the week of March 22-28 in Hannover, Germany for CeBIT (English). CeBIT is Europe's largest computer trade show with over 8,000 companies representing 60 countries in attendance. Torsten Rahn wrote in with details of what's
going on there with KDE:

We are proud to announce the first Open Source and Free Developers' European Meeting featuring Fyodor, Jeremy Allison, Richard Stallman, Kevin Lawton, Phil Thomson, Rasmus Lerdorf and more. David Faure will be offering a KDE presentation.

The meeting will take place in Brussels Saturday the 3rd and Sunday the 4th February 2001, and is organised in collaboration with VA Linux which is actively sponsoring the event.

KDE wins Linux Journal´s Editor Choice Award

Linux Journal´s editorial Board announced recently the list of winners for the second annual LJ´s Editor Choice Award. KDE wins the Best Desktop Environment category. Notice that this is different from LJ´s Reader Choice Award that KDE won earlier this year.
