I have just added our second interview with a business to KDE::Enterprise. This time the focus is on Internet security company SecureONE, who tell us just why they have chosen to use KDE on their Red Hat workstations. "Our understanding of KDE's backend technologies helps us appreciate the framework and end-user interface even more.

City of Largo Adopts KDE 2.1.1

Dave Richards, Systems Administrator for the
City of Largo, Florida,
has just
announced
that the City of Largo has switched to KDE 2.1.1 as their
production system. According to Dave, "The City of Largo is a thin
client/X shop [which supports] 400 thin client
devices that support X, 800 total users, and run about 230 concurrently

Why does KDE work so well? Benjamin Meyer thinks he knows why, and he explains his thoughts in this Tribute to KDE. Benjamin is the lead developer of Kaim (screenshots), and has been working hard at porting this application from being Qt-only to a fully-fledged KDE application.
