KDE Ships September Updates to Plasma Workspaces, Applications and Platform
Significant bugfixes include improvements to the Kontact Suite, bugfixes in Dolphin and many more corrections and performance improvements all over the place. The changes are listed on Bugzilla, though this list might not contain all improvements since 4.9.0. For a complete list of changes that went into 4.9.1, you can browse the Subversion and Git logs. 4.9.1 also ships a more complete set of translations for many of the 55+ supported languages. Call for Host for Akademy 2013 Still Open
The KDE Community are still looking for proposals to Host Akademy in 2013.

Akademy 2012
Akademy is a great event to host as it is the gathering of the KDE community, one of the largest and most significant Free Software communities. Hosting Akademy for a week will create marvelous results and give visibility to you as a host and many others way beyond the internal KDE activities. It will also make an impact on your local Free Software community.

There are many reasons to support KDE with a regular financial contribution. It is important to KDE e.V. by helping to create a predictable income. This money is used to support events that accelerate development of KDE software, enhance promotion efforts and help grow the Community. KDE contributors and users are scattered throughout the world and have many different backgrounds, so their reasons for contributing are diverse. Claudia Rauch and Jayson Rowe from the Join the Game Team asked supporting member Gaurav Chaturvedi why he joined the game.
