As KDE 3.2 is approaching and the first Beta version is near, more and more people are testing it. Therefore, a lot of new bugs are appearing in KDE's bugtracking system. While this is of course a good thing, it is much easier for the developers if all the reported bugs are (still) valid and precise enough. Everyone with a current version of KDE is able to do this cleanup-work, coding-knowledge is not needed.

As a newcomer to KDE, I have written up an example-based tutorial on KDialog that you might find useful. For those of you not familiar with it, KDialog allows one to use KDE dialogs from shell scripts, which has the potential to make things look a lot more professional and well integrated into our favourite desktop environment. This tutorial was originally going to be part of a KDE developers' book, but has been released while the future of that book is still being decided.

KDE Traffic #65 Part 1 is now available. Note that it is at a new temporary place and is part one of a series of two, the other of which should come out today. This issue covers KDE 3.2, KDE 3.1.4, apidox, KMail, audiocd, db-aware applications, giving KDE a flak jacket, Jabber, JPEG, and more.
