Third KDE 4 Development Snapshot Released: "Kludge"

The KDE project announces the availability of the third development snapshot of the upcoming KDE 4. This snapshot is meant as a reference for developers who want to play with parts of the new technology KDE 4 will provide, those who want to start porting their applications to the new KDE 4 platform and for those that want to start to develop applications based on KDE 4. This snapshot is not for end users, there is no guarantee that it will be stable, and the interfaces are subject to changes at any time.

Sirius Teams Up with KDE

KDE 3.5.5 Hits the Streets

The KDE developers are pleased to announce the release of KDE 3.5.5. This release includes plenty of bug fixes and updated translations for 65 languages but also features improvements such as version 0.12.3 of Kopete, sudo in kdesu, CUPS 1.2 support and speed improvements in KHTML. aKademy 2006 Kicked Off

aKademy 2006 has been kicked off at the Trinity College in Dublin. The first two days consist of the contributors conference with a fully packed programme of presentations on aspects such as the community, KDE 4, cross-desktop collaboration and KDE & the Free Desktop in Asian countries. On Monday, members of the KDE e.V., KDE's legal body will hold their General Assembly.

aKademy 2006 Schedule Finalised

More than 200 members of the KDE
community, related projects, industry partners, and interested users
will be gathering on Friday for aKademy 2006 at the
Trinity College Dublin
to work on the next-generation KDE 4 desktop and cross-desktop standards.
